Migrant entrepreneurship studies are not particularly numerous, as opposed to those that illustrate other aspects of migration. Since its first edition, the Report on Immigration and Entrepreneurship, has allowed to overcome the information gaps of little disaggregated data, recovering the “thick plot of productive relations” that characterizes, also at local level, the meeting between the Italian economy and the self-employed workers and entrepreneurs of foreign origin, more and more numerous and led to look at entrepreneurship as a possible strategy of resistance (if not resilience) highlighting the strengths and weaknesses that characterize the business experiences of migrants in Italy.
